NEW INSPIRON N7010 TOTALLY SOAKED IN WATER!
I took the battery out within 20 seconds and put a fan on it until I got back with 20 pounds of rice and bagged it up and sealed it up. Hey it worked on my phone a few years back. 5 days later I plugged it in and I'm not getting anything. I've heard that Alienware has a series of buttons to override and start up. Does anyone know if there is anything like that for Dell?

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

If it had any power to it at all when it fell in water id say its toast but you never know.

Did you take it apart and see if there was any obvious problems.Burn marks, water setting etc

at this point opening it up and making sure things are dry are probably worth trying, includng cleaning and re-seating any cables, CPU Etc.
