still nice to have it in a Dell package for backup consistency i guess.

But Dell has been a bit slow here. Same as with the Nvidia drivers. We're nearly exiting the 156.xxx range and Dell didn't even pick up on it (they did for the 1730 though)

i guess there is good reason for this. they want to make sure they work before they tell their customers to get them.

Do the Intel Turbo Drivers still work if you've never had it before? Meaning, the only "turbo driver" I downloaded was the one from the dell site. Or does it only work if you have had, physically, an Intel Turbo Memory chip?
    (Hope this makes sense...)

you would only install it if you have it installed...

That is correct. A Turbo Memory driver is useless for people not having the chip. Why else would you install it? :)

    I don't know...

So I should just uninstall it then...

And what's with this thing I downloaded off of the drivers page called an "Intel Matrix Storage Manager?"

But don't you have Turbo Memory? I tried to install it on my friend's 1500 and it didn't work (probably because he wasn't using AHCI).

I'm pretty sure I don't have it, unless it came pre-installed when I purchased my laptop. How do I find out?
