my friend received his 6400 about 1 week ago.

    T2400 (1.83 ghz)
    1GB RAM, 2 DIMMS
    80GB 7200RPM HD
    ati x1400 128mb/128hm
    no SB software

    $1300CAD + tax.

so if your price is in CAD you got a very good deal.

The 6400 is the business version here in the states. It's interesting how Dell Canada renames to confuse people.

Vince_00 the only reason that i can think of that yours would be a tad bit more expensive than mine would be the 3 years complete care while mine is only next business day and also the quicksnap although thats only $30 :p

plus did u order off the website, the best is to call in and bargain with them

Yea I ordered it over the phone...but the only thing I could bargain for was actually that quicksnap....which at the time was selling for $50 for some reason.

I remember seeing it offered with the online config for only 30...but that week they took the sale off...

But yea the complete care should come in handy for me cause I plan to give the laptop a pretty good use at home and abroad.
