Hi everyone,
My ne D830 just arrived this week, one day ealier then Dell had promised. Set up too simple and the Intel wireless card found my router right away ad by the time I had entered my security password I was surfing.
Question though, how can I turn off the wireless card from connecting to my network? In case I want to work without being connected to the internet. I also want to swap out the virus software and don't want to be connected to the net while making the switch.
Cheers!

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
If you're running XP, you can simply go to "Network Connections" and disable your wireless card. If you're under Vista it might be different... but similar.

Hey Cmdr Wolf,
Thanks for the tip. I am running XP. So I gather the wireless card is always active unless you manaully disable it. Then you can re-enable it via the same route.

There is a wireless switch on the left side...

Push the switch all the way to the back and the other way to turn the WiFi card back on.
