    I recently picked up a Dell Latitude D810 with the 1.73Ghz P-M / WSXGA+ screen / 512MB RAM / 128MB ATI X600 / 60GB HD / 8x DVD +/-RW.

    This is my first personal laptop, so I really couldn't be happier. I haven't got out there and done and WiFi browsing yet, so I haven't even seen what kind of battery life I am going to get...but it is supposed to be good.

    I had a couple of questions though. This Latitude came with Dell's Wireless™ 1370 802.11b/g miniPCI card. I am wondering if there are any real benefits of upgrading to the Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 or 2915 (other then the 802.11a for the 2915). I know that Intel says that you need one of their PRO/Wireless cards to take advantage of all of the Centrino's benefits.

    I was looking at getting a mini bluetooth mouse to use with the internal bluetooth card in the laptop. I was wondering what anyone has tried...and what you have liked. (There is one on eBay that looks promising, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5173972360 )

    Thanks all, and if anything else comes up, you'll hear from me again.

    Cheers.

    ~~~I am looking to buy someone's left over 512MB DDR-2 PC4200 SODIMM
    ~~~(maybe out of a Dell Inspiron 6000, 9300, XPS, or Latitude D810)
    ~~~If you've got one to spare, please let me know.
    There is no benefit to the INtel card other than 802.11a as you noted. As for the mouse, for a small notebook mouse, I like the Targus and Think Outside models. We have reviews of both.
