    New M1530 LOTR?

    I just ordered my M1530 and i checked to make sure the order was correct and i saw that there was this "412-1056 Turbine Lord of the Rings Online" on the order details site.
    does it come free? cuz i didnt see an option to take it off.

    You should also check your screen brand because if its a samsung you are in for some whole wheat grain

    I also just ordered M1530 with the WSXGA. I did not recieve the above trial software with my order (ordered 3/11). Also, you will not know which screen you recieved until you get your service tag #. But others have told me they have only shipped the LG (good screen) since mid january, but only here on the forum. Check the Grainy screen 1530 thread.

    My 1530 should be at my house today after work. I also was wondering about that LOTR thing.

    I am hoping to not get the grainy screen either, especially since I bought a refurb. This will be my first refurb product, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed as well.

    I got that LOTR crap too. They are also installing some stupid online backup garbage, anyone know what that is?? I complained to Dell about them installing this software without my permission and they are sending me a Swiss Gear Synergy backpack for free!! Woo Hoo!! :D

    14 Day trial. Does have a second key for you to give to a friend though. I installed it... meh. I'm waiting for Age of Conan before I get into another MMO.

    Well his name was Malkesh or something like that and he had a heavy Indian accent so I'm guessing it was one of the call center dudes in India. I was surprised I got anything since I had been trying since Saturday and it seemed like Dell really cracked down on giving the reps the ability to give out free stuff. I got TONS of free stuff from the India reps last March when I got my E1505 (backpack, briefcase, neoprene case, air/car/ac adapter) but it took me 5 days just get a backpack this time. Be polite but persistent and make sure you mention wanting to return the laptop once you get it if things aren't taken care of the way you want. ;)
