I am planning to create a new partition using Partition Magic but I am afraid that Dell System Restore would affect the Partition Table after restoration. I know that the System Restore uses an image to restore ur partition, but that image is made when my hard disk came with one partition, so my question is will Dell System Restore change the size of the new partitions that I will create after restoration? And also, previously I have created a separate partition, but MediaDirect wont detect except C:?! Any solution to have MediaDirect to detect other than the System Partition (C :)?

    thanx

Supposedly, if you format or edit the partitions in any way, Dell Restore will no longer function properly. The best thing to do is to get your HDD set up to how you want, and burn an image of it to a DVD.

As for the MD problem, turn your laptop off, boot into MD. Once MD begins to load, press F8 several times. Then select the delete restoration data and exit. This will cause MD to update your library with all of your information. I"m not 100% sure if this will work with multiple partitions but it is worth a shot.

thanx for the info, but I have tried the F8 and it didn't work. MD only detects drive C: and external HDDs.
