    New XPS M1210 small problem

    The battery icon does not stay in the taskbar notification area. I have the option turned on under power management but it does not show it.

    Any help would be apperciated.

    If you go into Desktop Properties, Screensaver tab, then Power, go to the Advanced tab and check the "Always show...". I'm not sure if that is the thing you checked or not.

    Also DVD/CD always skipping in windows, play fine when only boot up dell mediadirect.
