    New bios for inspiron 1520, is it worth it?

    I have a dell inspiron 1520 with a bios dated 07/20/07. dell has a new version on its web site, dated aug 20. is it worth updating to the new one?

    Might as well, I did, nothing bad seemed to have happened. I think all it does though is support new Intel CPUs

    yeah, that's what the release notes stated...seems to work pretty good right now w/o this update, so i was just wondering if it is a good idea to update. appreciate it, man.

    Its always to update the BIOS for portable system but not for desktops because they will just cause bigger problems especially the old ones.
