Ok so I got all the parts to install a second drive in my Vostro 1700, now I just need a drive. I was looking at dells site and saw 7 200GB drives listed as dell brand all at different prices from $129 to $249. Now if i am not mistaken a sata drive is a sata drive and one for a 1521 at $129 would be the same as a drive for a M1330 at $199( they both have the same specs). Both would fit in my Vostro as would the $249 drive for a "vostro". I have a coupon to blow that is why I am looking at dell for the drive. Does anyone know who makes these drive for dell? Are they any good?

Good prices I guess, but can't use my dell coupon there. And didn't really answer my question. But thanks.

Oh, well you should mention that you have a coupon. Dell contracts pretty much everyone for their HDDs. Unless it's explicitly stated, it's going to be luck which one you get.

I mentioned the coupon in my original post.

There's a good chance you can get the drive cheaper through newegg than through dell.
New drive for my Vostro.
