I just received my e1405. I have always had IBM T series laptops through work. I upgraded to the truelife screen. Is it just me, or does this make everything look tiny? I know its a preference thing, but wow. Also, the glare is so bad. I am really not used to that.

My isse is that I cannot connect to my home wireless network. I have a netgear router that I have been using along with an old sony laptop and a a netgear wireless card. No problems at all. However, I cannot connect to the network with the e1405 & 3945. I have tried both the intel app and letting windows connect. It recognizes the networks, but whenever I try to login, it says unable to connect.

The netgear app that i use to connect with my sony asks me for a password. This password generates a key automatically. ON my new dell, it will not accept my password, saying its the wrong number of digits. If i try entering the key, it does not work either. any ideas?

What kind of encryption are you using? WEP? Is your laptop set to the same type as the router? It might be on WPA or a different level of encryption....

The glare takes some getting used to, and it's especially noticable under fluorescent lights. I find that turning the screen to max brightness helps, or being mindful of where your lights are. :p

The tiny is probably more about the resolution you're at right now. I don't think the reflective surface is shrinking what you see on the screen.

I've made sure the encryption is the same in both, but still no luck. The size and glare were two separate issues.

    Thanks,

The truelife makes it more clear with better resolution. It does create glare, but I use mine indoors a lot, so it doesn't matter. Just change your resolution to one you like. If you need help doing that, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Toku

I've tried changing the resolution, but it looks really bad. I tried taking it down one notch. My biggest issue right now is the wireless network.
    Thanks,

I noticed the WXGA+ makes things look slightly smaller than the WXGA from the 630m... I am working on my review and will post it up tonight hopefully.

remove all security to see if the card can connect at all. if so, then it's not a hardware issue.
