My laptop (1420) was ordered on 7/16 and was first given a ship date of 7/27. It has since changed to 8/3, then 8/10, and now it currently sits at 8/17. I called the 1-800 number yesterday and today and it says that my order is in the boxing stage.
Should I count on my laptop being shipped on Friday???
I should mention that I've logged on to an on-line chat 3 different times. The first one only offered me a $25 coupon as compensation and stated that since a service tag had already been generated, an upgrade to overnight shipping was not possible. The next 2 conversations I had offered me overnight shipping. The last conversation I had was the most crazy. The guy told me that my order was in the first stages of production!!!! At the end of the conversation he had "re-checked" his information and found that my laptop was indeed in the final stages and it did have a service tag and should ship by Friday.
I honestly don't know what to expect anymore!!!! Anyone else experience this??

i'm assuming shipping is a lot faster in U.S. so probably 1-3 days after it goes into shipping... if it goes into shipping today then yes, most likely -
HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!! I just checked the order status page (by clicking on my order number in my order confirmation e-mail) and my laptop has SHIPPED!!!!!
It does show "Overnight" delivery as the method so maybe I will get it tomorrow!!!
Interestingly enough though...I was told by the different "chatters" that they would send me an e-mail letting me know when my order had shipped. Just checked my e-mail....no such correspondence.
