I finally received my laptop (e1405... I hope I won't be disapointed but since it's my first laptop it shouldn't be so bad...) after Purolator's truck being stuck at US customs for a week lol.

I read a lot of information on this forum and I chose to format my and HD and install a clean windows.

My only question/concerns are about the battery and how to optimize its life. I've read a lot of information about that too but I want to make sure I understand every thing right.

1-I've read it's a good idea to charge the battery for 24h the first time... true or false?

2-I've read I can do that while using my laptop (format, reinstall windows, etc.) without any problem... true or false?

3-I've also read that after the 24h first charging of the battery, it's good to fully use the battery (wait until the laptop shut itself down) and fully charge it again 2-3x time... true or false?

4-Can I leave my laptop running all night while sleeping like my desktop?

    Thank you !

the only thing you have to worry about is keeping your computer/battery cool. all the other tips and tricks don't really do anything.

    1. doesn't matter
    2. doesn't matter
    3. doesn't matter
    4. yes; just make sure it stays within normal operating temps
