Just took delivery of my Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition and wondered what the best course of action with regards setting it up was ? For example which software should I install (CCleaner, MSE, Ninite, Start8 etc) ? What about bloatware, what should I look for ? i don't want to make any mistakes and just install stuff from my old laptop to this. What is the first thing I should do, update drivers ?

Do a clean install and only load the necessary drivers :D

First off go and uninstall all those adware installed and remove toolbars and remove 30 day program which benefits no one. That will go along way to improving your computing performance. Then get a good A/V-Spware detector of which I would say go with MSE it's free and is a AV-Spyware program in one.

Thanks stormjumper :). Yes, I had no way of not having to get the free Mcaffee software so that will go and the toolbars as you say. I use MSE on this laptop so I'm used to it and it's OK. I really need to get it out of it's box too, it's still all wrapped up :D !
