I honestly dont like this 5400rpm harddrive in my e1505 and I am planning buying a new one on newegg.com.
Do all harddrives fit?

Ok. there any deals with 120gb harddrives?

You have several options: (a) Newegg advertises its deals on its site. (b) You can try a site like Shopper.com to get price comparisons. (c) There should be some good sales after Thanksgiving.

right now I dont think you can get 120 gig faster than 5400, I got a wd scorpio 120 gig 5400rpm for less than 120 bucks shipped from xpcgear.com. I'm really happy with it

Ok. I wish there was an easier way to install media direct then let mediadirect parition itself. I honestly dont think I will ever use it but its a cool feature. 80gb drive media direct only lets me parition about 65gb for windows. Whats up with that?

that sounds about right, media direct takes a chunk, diagnostics takes a chunk, and your restore image takes a chunk, and 80 gig drive isnt exactly 80 gigs either, more like 74-76 give or take, throw in dells extra utility partitions, and your out a good chunk of storage
New laptop harddrive.
