I was just wondering, for a new laptop, are you suppose to charge them before turning it on for the first time or are they ready to use?

    Cheers

Either one. When I first got mine, I charged it while I ran it.

They come ready to go. Most people will charge and discharge the battery a few times to condition the battery

The instructions that come with the computer should tell you whether you are supposed to charge the battery before first use or not. Most likely you can use the computer right away.

it doesn't matter what you do.

li-ion batteries do not need to be conditioned.
