Hey all! New to the forums. Decided I'd join since I just purchased a new laptop..now I can "discuss" it. :) Today I ordered my first new laptop in about 5 years. My new Studio 15 has the following specs:

    -Windows Vista Home Premium
    -250G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    -3GB memory
    -Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, 2.0GHz, 800Mhz, 2M L2 Cache
    -Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
-8X Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
-Dell Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini Card
    -Back-lit keyboard
    -Integrated Webcam
    -McAfee Security 9.0, 3-Year Subscription
-Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition
    -3 year limited warranty
-3 year in-home service and repair

I decided on graphite gray with black trim:

I saw one with the Jet Black matte finish in Staples and noticed that it tends to collect fingerprints so I opted for the glossy graphite. Can't wait to get this thing. I currently have an Inspiron 1150 that I got the summer before my freshman year of college. That was 5 years ago. This old boy has lasted me that long! And I can't ask much more from it. It's done me very well. Never crashed (knock on wood) or had any viruses. I probably can attribute a little of that to how anal I am about keeping my hard drive clean, but still this laptop has been great to me. Still runs pretty quick too.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share. Anyone that owns this laptop feel free to let me know how you like it. Also, I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has any of the "graphite" color options. How do you like it? Moderators, if I put this post/thread in the wrong place and you want to move it somewhere else please feel free--I'm just getting used to these boards! :)

the screen is the only thing that i didn't upgrade, so it's the standard option. 1280x800 i believe.
