    Hello,

I've looked through the Dell forums briefly, but can't seem to find anything about new models to come - or anything about when they are gonna adapt the new 9xxx nvidia gpu series. Zepto recently released a laptop with 9600M GT and other models are to follow, when can we expect Dell to release this?

If this has been asked before, as I bet it has, then please excuse me.
    Nonetheless, thanks

    certainly not before montevina(july 15)
no leaks right now, but i dont think the 9600 is much stronger than the 8600 for m1530

    Thanks for your reply

Not a whole lot, but the 9600M GT card is a bit stronger.
Do you think they will fit a 9800M GT in a 15,4"?

Its difficult to say if they can get a high end mobile 9 series in a 15.4" notebook. If the card has a resonably low TDP, then it is possible, but Dell has not put high end card in such a notebook before. It is very likely , however, they will manage to install a 9600M GT, snce its TDP will be much lower.

9600M GT is just a successor to the 8600M GT. It will definitely be stuck into a 15.4'' notebook. Im sure it will fit. Take the Alienware m15x for example. It has a 8800M GTX in it.

Though I'm sure Dell wouldnt do it for their XPS since their Alienware is the true pure gaming line. Not to mention, battery life is horrible and you get only close to an hour.

Also, dont forget Montevina enables significant increases in battery life and shrinks down current motherboard sizes by 25%. More than enough room.
