I just bought a used Latitude CPX, C series, maybe not a great move, but I am trying to make the best of it. I am trying to find out if this machine( an Intel II processor (I can't see where to find the speed) will take a USB2 card.
I need the port because the transfer on my lexar card reader is way too slow on the USB 1.1 (I assume.)
My research indicates the USB2 card requires a 32 bit port and Windows 1998 SE. I am running Windows 1998, but I can't figure out the bit size of the port.
I would GREATLY APPRECIATE any help or suggestions on this.
Is this a lost cause?

I'm not sure exactly what your asking. If your asking if the USB port on this notebook is USB 2.0, the answer is no. USB is fairly new and a notebook with a P-II CPU would only have USB 1.1
If your asking if the PCMCIA port on this system could use a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card port, then I think the answer is yes.

Thanks. I thought I was pretty clear that I wanted to know if it would take the card.
