I'm having to buy a new laptop soon - looking at the XPS - but I don't know when this premium XPS customer service care will subside (which I expect to happen when Dell releases their new solution to getting consumers)

Do you think this will happen anytime soon - I guess xmas?- or if it's possible?

    Thanks in advance!

Right now, we are seeing things that point to November. Nothing official from Dell though.

The new Precisions and Latitudes were launched in August. I think most people are interested in Studio XPS offerings coming up.

Sorry, but that 17" Precision is gonna rock the crap out of other 17"ers - including my 1730!

Actually, the Studio XPS offerings are not going to be too bad ~ we will have to *wait and see* like everything else, for the finalized product!!!

I am looking forward to seeing the 12" Netbook, that will supposedly be released sooner than the latter.. :)

And, what one feels about a notebook compared to the other person, will almost always be different somehow! ;) It's good to differ in opinion, it's just how you go about, relaying those opinions :D

    Cin ;) :)

I really would like to see a Sony Vaio Z alternative, I am hoping the Studio XPS 13 can be that.

But unfortunately, it looks like the 16 model will have a 16:9 aspect ratio screen but not the 13 model. :(

November is a very late time to be releasing Centrino 2 notebooks, these had better be good and I hope at launch, there won't be any hiccups, supply problems like with the M1330 launch. Maybe this late launch will fix that.

That's what I meant. I don't feel like getting a latitude when it doesn't look that great. The 12" netbook looks alright but if the studio XPS isn't that great I'ma get the asus u6v or the U330. I love leather. If they have a deal that lets me buy a notebook and a netbook together I will but I don't need a netbook when there are laptops that last just as long in batterylife.
