    I tried downloading the latest bios version from the dell website but it seems the A01 version is the latest for the Vostros. Is this the same for everyone else? I'm updating mainly because I hope to avoid the headphone noise problem mentioned by others.

    yeah, my first vostro had A00 on it, and my reorder has A01...the web only has A00 on it. I am wondering if they are two different motherboards...
