All right, i ve been hearing about Clevos,Asus and all others Santa Rosas gamming/media pcs .
Whats up with Dell, does anyone knows whats going on .
If they planning on making a Inspiron or Xps with santa rosas soon ?

I think they are and will lose alot of sales by people buying other brands Santa Rosas powered.

Dell has been recently loosing market share because consumers often compare them to the competition...and find the competition a better deal.

This time around, with Mr. Dell running the company again, tumbling market share...Dell is probably spending a little extra time on their notebooks to make sure they are right, and to give Dell a chance to look at the competition before they fire back. Something tells me it will be a good return shot too... :D

I guess the first example of this would listening to customers and releasing an E1505 with Linux?

The only notebook they currently offer that is on my radar is the XPS m1210. Everything else I look that intrigues me from Dell is something I configure very cheaply with coupon codes, though nothing I have configured has yet made me pull the trigger.

Somewhere near the end of June and the beginning of July I would imagine. :D

They would be really dumb if they didn't make the design nicer...

Seriously, if you can wait and really want new technology...well, good things always happen when you wait :D :D :D

I don't know about Turbo Memory (that kind of depends on Intel and not Dell), but I doubt the 8700/8800 will happen. ATI is barely pushing out the 8400 and 8600 series in time anyway, and the 8700/8800 is supposed to be more powerful but that much more difficult to engineer for a laptop environment.

I'd guess we're looking at the top 8600M GPU at best right now...maybe 8700 by the fall of this year.

I have been waiting for months for dells new laptops. Oh well, it's to late. I am getting the Asus G1s. Why should I wait for Dell? So they can come out with some sorry new laptops like HP has?

Dell and HP lost my Biz!

It is best to strike first

I need to know if by at most july 1st there will be a 17" Asus G2S or a Clevo M570RU or a Dell laptop will have a High-end GPU under $3200 or a 15'4" under $2700 .
If not i ll just gonna buy a T7600G/7950GTX XPs M1710 again .
I really wanted a a sleeker design and less "juvenille" design but i cnat wait like 6 months to have a pc back home :/ this P3 is pissing me off

Can someone tell me whats the chance in % that it will happen ?

    Thanks

Usually around major tech refreshes, it is always a good idea to wait. That's the general rule of thumb.

    Think about it...
HP has Santa Rosa out...will be getting a DX10 upgrade at the end of June (I think) when nVidia releases the 8M series. My guess is that HP will allow orders near the end of June and ship in early July. So we know parts will be available about the time frame you are concerned about.
Asus has Santa Rosa DX10 announced...probably around the same time frame for release.
Dell would be stupid to not do something around the same time.

Right, Santa Rosa and DX10 is the most popular stuff in these two month. As the laptop provider fighting each other in the world. DELL will do something soon. XPS is the most power serial for gamer and biz people. As I know, the factory in China is reduce the old xps module, waiting the new order. XPS fans hold the money in hand and looking forward to the Santa Rosa and DX10 video card. The time would come.

XPS710 already upgrade to XPS720, XPS1710 will upgrade to XPS1720? Maybe....
