    Next Day Delivery for free?

    So, I work nights, and my sleep schedule is screwed up. I sleep all day and I'm up all night even on my days off.

    My wife wakes me up at like 1pm and says Dell is on the phone. I was still sleeping, but I took the phone apparently and I sort of remember talking to the guy, but he said something like my order this and that, but I really don't remember the conversation.

    I woke up an hour ago and checked my order status (like I do every 10 minutes of every day) and it was still in production, but now it says "Next Day Delivery" and not the original free 3-5 day delivery I selected. I hope that rep didn't sucker me into paying for next day while I was sleeping when I didn't need it or want it lol. Needless to say it bumped my delivery date to the 31st after shipped on the 30th.

    Anyone else get a free upgrade to next day?

    And it was free correct? Lol, I was half asleep and seriously my wife said I said "ok sir thanks" and dropped the phone and fell back into a coma.

    Well... I got next-day shipping for free by chat/email. So i'm guessing that would be free as well.

    Yeah. I emailed them a little pissed off because My original delivery date was like somewhere in the middle of july, so I called to take advantage of the new ram and hd deal, and the lady basically cancelled my order and hung up on me. So I wrote back via email, and the best they did is next day shipping? So yeah I really care about next day shipping when it isn't coming till 2008.

    yeah i called in and tried to make some changes to my order but the lady was rude so i spoke to the manager....told the manager i didnt get very good service and that i was worried that i couldnt get my xps m1330 in time for college, so i made sure she upgraded me to next day shipping for free.....when i placed my order they also charged me shipping cause it was through a special dell EPA offer, so i also got them to take that off.....just be firm about what u want and they'll usually give in.......

    i told the sales agent i placed it with that a previous agent had promised me free next day, but that he never answered when i called back to finish the quote. worked for me perfectly a week ago.

    did you have to give a name?? or did u just leave it as "sales agent"? They didn't question you any further about it? They just said, "ok" and upgraded you for free?

    just call and ask about shipping and why is it taking so long? my rep offered it for me after i asked those two questions.

    but, i don't think it matters that much, seems like 3-5 day shipping is still only going to take 1-2 days for most people
