You guys have given me so much help that I want to give back a little.

DELL is offering deals on the M1330 and M1530 from now until 11:59 PM CMT on 3/29...24 hrs basically.

The laptops are starting at $699 off! Couple that with the EPP discount (4% for systems under $1,600 and 6% for systems over $1,600) and you can get a great M1530 for about $1,500 after taxes.

I am buying mine tomorrow afternoon. Just want to be able to speak to a rep before I do.

    Good luck all.

I'm looking at the 2.4 ghz 3mb cache, 200gb hdd, 1440x900, sound blaster audio, 3 year service, bluetooth, wirleess mouse, windows home premium, 256mb graphics card, etc. for $1,507 when it is all said and done.

Depends. Usually every 2 weeks-1 month.
One thing to know about DELL: Never buy a laptop from them unless it's on sale.

I'm just hoping they don't pull some crap and stop the "sale" before tomorrow night! The same config cost $200 more earlier today!!!

Dell doesn't run this type of sale very often. It's about 30% off and the lowest price I've seen on the M1330/M1530 laptops. In fact, it may be cheaper than buying one from the Outlet. I don't know if I should buy one now or wait another 2 months when they release the WXGA+ LED screen on the M1530. Since the new Latitude E models will have the LED screens, I am assuming Dell with offer them on the M1530 by then.

You can axe off $25 by downgrading the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition and going for the normal High Definition Audio 2.0 :)

Took advantage of this today. I've been watching the XPS lappy sales for a good 6 months now and this is by far the best deal I've seen.

Just ordered this rig a couple hours ago:

T8300 (2.4 ghz/3 mb cache) 200 gb 7200 HD, 1440x900 screen, 3 gb RAM, 2 year in-home service, Intel N wireless card, bluetooth...slap their $699 discount on and another 4 percent off for my work discount, free shipping - $1,274 to my door. :D

Very excited about this. My old i8600 (which I am typing on right now) has kept on chugging, but is definitely showing its age.

When I bought my M1530 from the Outlet two days ago, I went and spec'ed out a new unit with the same specs and found I'd saved $940. When I saw this coupon this morning, I reran the build and I was still $430 ahead of the game.

I'm considering a 1330 because of the LED backlit screen...but I can't get the final EPP discount to work right.

I'm doing it with the $700 off and a 4 year warranty, so it SHOULD give me an extra 8% off, but it only gives me 4%, and says "4% off for having a 1-2 year warranty" or something like that.

I hate that low end 8400GS, but I want an LED backlit screen...

Just go to the main Dell page, or click through to the appropriate store. Either way it's one of the deals listed on the banner ad type thing in the middle of the screen.

For me it's actually coming out worse (at least on the 1330). More expensive than the $600 off deal that's still going on, which is more expensive than the $350 off coupon they had.

i tried to configure mine, and its like 50$ cheaper, than when i tried it before with the 350$off.

However, i won't order 1. I'll wait for the new coupons on the 1st of April.

You also have to have a 3-year warranty to get that. If you only did a 2-year you would only get a 6 percent discount. Only reason I know is because I ordered mine last night.

I think even if you hit the 1600 it only gives you a 6% discount with this particular offer.

Right, that's the standard with a 2-year warranty, but if you up it to 3 years for another $100, you double the percentage off. I didn't do it on my order because I my 1530 was spec'd out so it was less than $1,600. My percentage off was only 4 w/a 2-year warranty, 8 percent at 3-years.

New coupons? :D Any idea what they're going to be? The 1530 is going to be on sale again on the 1st I think (or maybe just the Product Red version).

I tried configuring a 1330 yesterday, and last night, and both times it only gave me a 6% discount, like what silvergator is seeing. That's WITH a 3 or 4 year warranty, and over $1600 (it also gave configuration errors when I try to remove bluetooth).

I realized though that for me it still comes out to maybe $150-200 more than the $600 offer they're running currently, even if I double what my last discount would be.

this deal isnt nice, if you guys didnt notice they do not include the LED screen and the battery is more expensive. Really its the same deal, Dell plays with its prices all the time to make it seem like theres a nice deal. Two or one month ago there was a 799 off, 10 percent off coupon, and 12 percent off epp, now that was a deal, this is nothing.

The rep that I spoke to out of TX (XPS rep "Doug") last night when I ordered said that if I had configured it over $1,600 with a 3-year warranty, my discount for my work would be 12 percent.

Maybe you need to speak directly to a rep to force it through.

yeah dont worry this deal isn't grand, I've been monitoring the 1330 since January. Considering this laptop is almost one year old, and the E-series laptops have been announced, the sales of these laptops should decrease, there will probably be a large sale sometime before summer. Plus, 300 dollars for a 9 cell, thats nuts, hopefully they'll manage to get a new supplier of batteries.

At least in the EPP section you can upgrade to the LED backlit screen with this deal.

Also, make sure you compare this $699 deal to the $599 deal that's also going on, because that's CHEAPER when I configure it by over $150. It may depend on how you configure it, but pretty decked out the 599 deal comes out cheapest for me right now in through EPP.

Oh, okay. Those are latitudes though, and they're lower end than the 1330, and will probably cost more. So not very exciting.

Now if they throw a 9500GS in the XPS 1330, or they get an LED light in a 1530 or 1730... :D

This deal is nothing special. This laptop was wayyyyyyyyyyy cheaper back in December if you guys can believe that. I was just researching on slickdeals and they were selling loaded T7500,3G RAM, 9cell,8600gt, 160GB 7200RPM,3yr warranty,lo jack etc..for $1291 and it included a $200 gift card making the total $1091 for a loaded 1530. I'm waiting on something similiar to that before buying this laptop.

Nope, but they are spring sales + prob last sales before the announcement of the new XPS M line, so they should be better.

So do you mean you'll get 12% discount through EPP if you buy a $1,600, (including 3 year Warranty + accidental damage warranty) lappy?

That was sweeet, i wish i was considering a XPS 1530, beack then.

Anyway, hopefully, the discounts coming out in a few days are similar to those 1s.

New ones? Do we know about anything, or is it just speculation based on the 1330's age?

Lol, 1st of all im talking about the 1530, (but they'd probably be replaced @ the same time).

Also, it's just my opinion (which is shared by many) that new 1s are coming out.

Here is a link that shows that new cupons are coming out. (for those who might want it).

Hmmm, i kinda agree with that....

Will it will also be their loss in a way. As a lot of ppl are waiting for similar deals to the 1s in December 07. and since they'll announce the new line in a month or 2, most ppl might just wait until then. (i would if i had a desktop/lappy, (im typing from an almost sold lappy :D :waiting for payment :)

Never talk defeat. Use words like hope, belief, faith, victory. -- Norman Vincent Peale

They'll have to if they want to sell units to people on the fence(like me) who really don't even need this laptop. Sure some random fish will think this is a great deal but cmon...this computer is selling for MORE now with the T7500 than it was at the end of last year. Doesn't the depreciation of technology have an effect on prices? They should be offering the same deals or similiar to the ones in December with T9300's. Once again, they had loaded 1530's with all the bells and whistles for $1090 shipped after taxes at one point, that's $400 less than what they want now!

I'll stick it out with my vostro for the time being until they come up with something decent.
