    No Audio Device

    Inspiron E1501
    Windows XP pro, sp2

    I had to re-install windows using the Dell disks. Every thing works fine except that I have no Audio Device.
    How do a get the Audio Device?

    Well I mean... did you install the audio driver? Lack of an audio driver would probably deny you an "audio device"... just maybe?

    If you did install the driver, though, you might be looking at a hardware fault...

    I just let the disk install. How do I find out if the driver is installed? And if not, where do I find it? If it is installed, how do I make it frunction?
