Inspiron E1501
Windows XP pro, sp2
I had to re-install windows using the Dell disks. Every thing works fine except that I have no Audio Device.
How do a get the Audio Device?

Well I mean... did you install the audio driver? Lack of an audio driver would probably deny you an "audio device"... just maybe?
If you did install the driver, though, you might be looking at a hardware fault... -
I just let the disk install. How do I find out if the driver is installed? And if not, where do I find it? If it is installed, how do I make it frunction?

There should be a disk that came with your E1505. It should say something like "Drivers and Utilities" on it. The audio driver will be on that disk. Or you can go here: http://support.dell.com/support/dow...SPIRONI6400/E1505&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
Those are all the drivers for the E1505 under XP. The audio driver is the second option on that page. -
Got the driver from the support site.
Thanks.
