How would I go about reformating my 600m when it gets here without having ordered the backup cd? How does that work?

under start-->programs, there is a program called Dell Recovery OS cd (something similar to that). It will allow you to burn a copy of the OS to a cd, but only one time. This cd works like a normal OEM cd. You insert it in the cd-rom, reboot and select your cd-rom to boot first. If you have completed windows installation before, then it will be the exact same. It will give you a clean operating system. Any software cds like CyberLink PowerDVD (dvd decoder), Sonic MyRecord, etc can be requested from Dell. You can either download your drivers from Dell's website, or burn a copy of the dell folder, located on the c: drive before you do the reinstallation.
