I recently downloaded Avira and (i guess it was around this time) now I don't have any brightness or sound indicators on my desktop whenever I change them. Could Avira be causing this and how can I fix it?

    Have you recently updated Quickset?

I doubt that it is Avira. Quickset needs to be running for those to pop up.

Just reinstall Dell Quickset and that should fix your problems.
