Dag gum it! I didn't get my dual core label on my e1505 like some of you did. I know I got it internally because I went in and looked at the configeration. Just got mine this week. I just got the Centrino Intel label. I guess I will be like the guy in the GTO without the name on the side of the car! A sleeper in sheep's clothing. If I have to call Dell about anything else, I will ask. but so far no problems with anything else.
Oh one think I need to confirm. How do I know if I got the 9 cell battery?
-
Look at the battery and compare it to the specs for the 6 cell and 9 cell
-
Anyone else out there without the dual core label on your new lappy?
-
Me! There's another topic on it, it has to dom with your chipset and wireless configuration. If all are intel, you just get the "Centrino" sticker, should be Centrino Duo, but what can ya do?
-
Well, I just recieved my two Inspiron 6400 (e1505)! I can say that on one I upgraded to the Intel Wireless, and it has the centrino sticker, and on the other, with basic dell wireless, it has the core duo. It seems centrino trumps core duo. (The centrino lablel simply means intel processor and wireless card).
-
Call Dell and they will send the stickers to your house.
-
The product code for the "Centrino Duo" label on my invoice is
"FH658 - Module, Label, Intel, CENTRINO DCY, Notebook"
Should anyone need/want to order one... -
I believe if you ordered the Intel chips with bluetooth you'll get Centrino, but if you scratch the BT, you get the duo stickers.
Honestly, I'd rather have the added functionality of bluetooth than a sticker.

I got the bluetooth alright! But I want my label. Should be free right?
-
Why the heck do you want a sticker? Debadge it so no one knows what totally OWNING Hardware you have!!!
-
I got it on mines -
When did you get yours? My co-worker got her e1505 single core and it says core solo!
-
-
Hmm..if your order was in the beginning of april, your e1505 should be have core duo sticker.
-
well, since i had some time to spare, i figured theres no harm in trying to call dell for a replacement sticker, right? wrong! after being placed on hold multiple times, the rep sounded like a parrot repeating herself over and over stating that there is no harm in having the wrong sticker.
the bottomline is: getting the badge replaced will be virtually impossible so dont waste your time, like i did. -
Thanks for wasting your time for us! I will try if I have to call about anything else.
-
I think I'm weird. My laptop came with the Centrino Duo sticker (And the XP one) and I really want to take them off, i hate those stickers.
-
Centrino is 3 intel technologys working together. The processor, chipset, and wireless card. So if you order your system and it's got an intel chip, intel chipset and intel wireless card then you're gonna get the centrino sticker. Has nothing to do with bluetooth.
No Dual Core label
