I've purchased Inspiron E1705, Win Vista, Sigmatel Soundcard. What bothered me is that the laptop soundcard does not have any visible Mixer Control.

I've tried to remove the Sigmatel driver and replaced it with the updated version from Dell's download support page but it still does not give me any chance to work on the stereo mixer contro. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

    Please help

I believe there was a thread previously that detailed how to tweak/trick the system and gain full mixer control of the Sigmatel. Conversely, you could have bought it with the Creative software and thereby have better control over the sound on your notebook.
