    No More Integrated Subwoofer in Dell 17"

    The old Inspiron 9400/e1705 had an integrated subwoofer, along with two channel speakers. It would seem Dell has neglected from including a subwoofer integrated into their new line, the Inspiron 1720, which is quite curious, as it was considered a great feature in the previous generation. I personally, am quite upset with their decision, because now, instead of having good integrated, very mobile sound, I will be forced to purchase a pair of portable laptop speakers, which tend to reduce overall mobility of laptops. Let's see what the rest of NBR has to say about Dell's poor decision.

    These subwoofers are good? I know that most of notebooks have very capped bass, but in my head subwoofers need to have a very large cone....

    Well they were better than nothing. I never noticed much though since I used external speakers + sub most of the time.
