Just went to check out the status of our laptop order and was very surprised when I called in on the automated line only to find out that my order could not be found. Tried online and the same thing happened. Anyone else have this happened? Have I been duped into waiting a month for naught?

i have the same issue, just got home and called and checked online, weird ****, hopefully it does not mean much, ordered 7/15

Don't worry about it... I just came home from work at 2:30 to quite a surprise when I checked my order status. The automated lady said they couldn't find any information about my order number. I was so pissed, so I looked for Dell's customer support numbers and couldn't find anything. I was about to have a heart attack when I saw on here that it seems to be a widespread problem. Let's just hope it's maintenance and some pissed off IT employee didn't destroy the order database or something to "ease" the delays or something.
Dell Latitude D830 ordered August 16th.

I had a heart attack too - but did a chat and the CSR said the systems are down, and to check in an hour.
Maybe they're down so they can update the systems with the massive number of computers that are now boxing and shipping - ha! -
i got the same message.... hopefully that means they're updating our status so it'll ship. since yellow is no longer delay they should ship mines on time.

I'm having the same problem. I was already researching which laptop I was going to replace my order with. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Yeah, lets hope that it's a matter of status change or something... I really am hoping that I can get out of build soon since I need this computer for college and I specifically picked a Latitude because I thought it would ship faster than an Inspiron. :-(

It would be nice if we could get in contact with Dell 24X7, instead we are forced to wait for business hours. Seems kind of stupid to me considering they are a major company. -
Guys, it's back up. No change to my order status, still in the Build Stage. However, my cousin's Green Inspiron 1500 ordered on July 15th is now in testing. Looks like they are making some progress.

the "system down" thing might be the same reason why I don't have any updated carrier or tracking information.... ya think? or just to see what stage production it's in?

I had gotten it around 2 AM EST. Only for my soundcard and Lojack. I was about to freak because I will need the Lojack software. It seems to be fixed now.

Yea online its still down but call in and its not. Hope this means they will be starting to do something about all these delays. Anyone going to complain about this?

Hmm, what the heck... It seems the automated order status is down again. When you call, you get music and that's it. No voice or notice that there is a problem.
