Argh! I just installed an SSD on my Studio 1535 w/ the 965 ICH8 chipset (which supports SATA300) but for some reason I am still limited to SATA150 speeds.

Is there any way to enable SATA 300?

If that is the problem it sounds like there is no solution.

All I see is a choice between SATA and AHCI.

You may want to check your SSD jumper settings if there is one. There used to be one on regular hard drive.
