This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     No Stereo Mix recording option on inspiron1501 with Sigmatel Audio

    i can't record sound through pcsound option in recording programs. i have an inspiron1501 with a sigmatelAudi sound card.

    You don't say what your OS is. But if it is Vista download the latest Sigmatel driver for Win XP and install it in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode.. you will then have the stereo mix function.
