    Hey,

I ordered a Dell XPS 15 back on December 8, 2010 and received the order confirmed email. The expected delivery date is December 23, 2010, which is today.

It's 3:15pm currently (Toronto, CAN), and I haven't gotten Purolator ringing at my door. Call it impatience if you wish. I am getting annoyed that my laptop is some how still "In Production" and not shipped, yet I am receiving it today [no tracking number whatsoever].

Has anyone actually have received their Dell order on the expected delivery date but not had their online status updated?

Next time I'm going to request the delivery to be done by the fat guy in the big red suit- at least I'll know for sure it'll be delivered on December 25.

I would call Dell asap. My V130 shows a delivery date of 12-30-10

    UPDATE

I didn't get it on the 23 or the 24.

They changed the Expected Delivery Date too "Information Temporarily Unavailalle" and still slate my laptop as "In Production".

I really hope it's not still in Malaysia being built. Purolator only ships Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week.

:( I hoped to get it before New Years. Oh well.

    Yours probably will.

The only thing I get confused about is this:

Does Dell give a "Shipped" status when it is with the courier or does it give the "Shipped" status when it is on the truck from Texas?

It is "supposed" to go to the shipped status when it is released for shipping. I have seen it show shipped for two days before the carrier actually picks it up. Once the carrier picks up the shipment and scans it in then you should be able to start tracking on their website.
