The image quality on my AUO screen is good enough for me, but the vertical viewing angle is very poor. Is it just not possible to have a black background that doesn't look gray while colors look good?

I actually had this screen replaced (the technician who showed up was VERY rough with my cabling, look out for that, long story) and I thought the viewing angle was improved but that was in a bright office.

I got home and I can actually see what appear to be waves at the top and still poor viewing angle at the bottom.

So can Vostro screens be all black while backlit while color is of good quality?

My M6300 have quite poor viewing angles as well. Especially horizonal ones.
