    Dells website still list this "E1405 comes standard with Wi-FiĀ® for connecting to any 802.11 b or g network. Choose the optional 85WHr 9 cell battery for up to 8:32 hours of productivity and watch up to three 2-hr movies on a single battery charge."


    I can honestly say that even with everything turned off I can't even come close to 8 and 1/2 hrs anymore with Vista on my laptop.

    Most manufacturers exaggerate, the number does exist, when the laptop has everything closed(Wifi, screen, programs, etc.) and idling.
