It's for all the people who thinks it doesn't work.
Thanks for the guys who doubt me, calling me a lier and crazy, because otherwise I'm usually to lazy to put a video in YouTube.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=tzIXpfm2o_8

It'll make sense only for the guys who owns a Dell notebook with a black lid and knows how's annoiyng to clean the fingerprints. The other colors are less prone to this.
As I said on the former thead, the fingerprints will be less noted and the most important: It'll be much easyer to clean.

P.S. When he touches his finger to the lid and it leaves a "print" that fades, that's not remarkable. I have no additives to my lid and can do the same thing. I have a Midnight Blue lid, so perhaps it is different since it is "Microsatin Finished," but there you go.

Huh!! But in the last part of the video the final fingerprint doesnt vanish. Seems to be effective only for a short while.

? this actually proves that it doesnt work. after leaving the wax for a bit, your last print did not go away untill you wiped it. unless your going to carry that thing of wax around with you, then your out of luck.

This just needs to be titled "wax your lid" so everyone doesnt have to watch that link. Wax wont completely stop fingerprints either, but it will offer some protection. Ive waxed my laptop and my PS3(which is a fingerprint magnet) and it does reduce the amount of fingerprints, but saying it gets rid of them is just wrong.

Also, thats not how you apply wax. You put on a thin layer and let it sit, then buff it off. You probably introduced a huge amount of micromarring and scratches by rubbing your lid for 4 minutes straight - I dont care if it was microfiber or not

That YouTube was actually from Karate Kid XII. Mr. Miyagi is in the background yelling, "WAX ON! WAX ON!!!" if you turn up the volume.

What is that.. a 4 minute video of a guy wiping his black lid only to have to clean it again after putting his greasy finger on it?

Is there an easy way to remove fingerprints? A damp cloth?

I see a lot of disgusting T60s at school. Just covered in greasy fingerprints. I usually wipe down the keyboard and lid of my 1520 and t60 (when I had it :( ) with 90% rubbing alcohol on a towel.

homer simpson has a far more simple (and effective, albeit painful) solution.. just sandpaper the skin of your fingertips off!

i have a particular problem with greasy fingers, to the point where i'll wash my hands each and everytime i sit down to use my computer, and i'm still left with horrible grime all over my mouse and keyboard (i use a razer-death adder and a random glow in the dark keyboard).. i'm considering buying a couple of pairs of gloves (maybe jsut some cheapy washable cloth ones) just so i can use the damn thing without getting it covered in muck! >.<

Take it easy on the guy. He's just trying to help out fellow users. The fingerprints on my black lid are kinda annoying. Some come off nicely with just the microfibre cloth while some seem kinda stubborn. Even if I don't use wax on mine I appreciate the guy giving it a try and posting video.

imo eagle one wax as u dry works AWESOME.. one of the best things out imo for keeping these lids clean.. removes fingerprints in a second and DOES NOT harm the plastic

Its a good idea... just didn't work out as nicely as people were expecting... Who knows this idea may spark a new idea... Gotta work off of each others ideas...
