    Hi,

After reinstalling XP on my new 9400 (e1705) I reinstalled the drivers (in the recommended order I think) from the dell/drivers folder from before I reinstalled, but one still has a yellow question mark - "PCI device". Any ideas as to what this might be/how to find driver? Tried letting windows connect to net, didn't work..

    More importantly, there's no sound!

I've installed the audio drivers and they appear in device manager as 'working' (under the headings 'audio codecs' and 'legacy audio drivers'). But under sound and audio devices, it says no audio device. Can anyone suggest what to do?

    Thank you for the help,

    sache

Here's a shot of my audio section in device manager. Does yours look the same?

The wireless does work better, cause it remember the settings(WEP key) for each accesspoint so u don't have to type the password again.

Download these drivers from dell support which you 'll use them the most

    Sound Driver
    Video card driver
    Wireless Driver
Modem driver ( i never use modem but install it , somehow u might need it)
    10/100 Ethernet driver (broadcom)
    Dell systems software
    Mobile chipset
