I don't know if it's just me, but my skin sticks to glossy plastic surfaces. I'm looking for a laptop with a rough or matte-quality surface BOTH on the touchpad and the place you rest your palms. At Best Buy today, I noticed that the Dell Inspiron 1525-139B had a very good feel (my skin didn't stick to it). I went to the Dell website and tried to locate a 15.4" model which would have a WSXGA+ screen. I don't think any of the 15.4" Inspirons had that. So I looked at their business models. The Vostro 2510 looks like a good bet, but I have no idea if it has a glossy surface. Anyone know?
    Thanks,
    Mike

I know that the Latitudes don't use the glossy material on their casing. Their palm rests are still made of plastic, but are made from a matte type material.

Thanks. That makes sense.. the Latitudes are oriented to business, so they wouldn't want splashy finishes, right?
