    Normal Time in Boxing?

    I know people have posted it in the past, but can someone remind me how up-to-date the automated phone order status line is?

    Does anyone know if there's a significant delay between events and the phone system being updated? Thanks...

    wow just found out i can call for the order status.. i ordered on 8/26 and i just called a minute ago and they said it was inthe boxing stage... its only the 30th.. im surprised. anyone else think there is something fishy? lol

    Hmm I was wondering for those whose laptop has shipped and got next business day shipping is the the edd the day after the shipping date. On my order status it says next business day shipping. But edd says 3-5 days later. So did I not get next business day shipping?

    10x, that's exactly what my order status says. Although the carrier and tracking number is unavailable. I hope i get next day delivery. Congrats etexbill.

    Edit: Darn I only got dhl ground even though according to dell's website, I got dhl express ground.

    The difference is that yours said ground + next day and mine only says ground. But whatever, I'm glad it shipped after. It won't hurt if I wait for another couple of days since I have been waiting for 30+ days already.

    Like I mentioned in another thread, I work on the same field as that DHL hub in Wilmington. I work overnights beginning tonight. If they all arrive at 1 AM, it's gonna drive me crazy being able to see the building that my laptop is sitting in. I should just walk over and grab it since I'll no doubt be asleep by the time they actually get it to my apt.

    I just got the laptop via DHL at 2:05 PM... My cousin's Spring Green Inspiron 1520 arrived at the same time (she had it sent to my house because she lives in a city where there is a high chance of it being stolen if they leave it on the porch).... She ordered on July 15th, went into boxing on the 25th, but only had ground shipping.. Dell actually gave me Next Day 3:00 shipping so I was surprised. That is a $110+ value according to DHL.COM..

    Anyway, time to get used to the laptop. No problems that I see yet, except for a slight uneven gap on the right side when it is closed.

    I'm really happy that Dell delivered on time and that I have it in time for college. Gotta upgrade my wireless network to 802.11g now and sometime down the road 802.11n, heh...

    I will post some pictures and do a private review on it sometime in the coming days.

    I should be able to pick mine up tomorrow at DHL. I got the Service tag and see I got the AU Optronics screen (1440) . Is that the bad one? I hope not!

    Just went to boxing today. M1330, white, led. I think they're production problems must be getting worked out, because it seems like an awful lot of people suddenly went through testing and boxing. doesn't help those of us who've been waiting much, but at least people who order now won't have to wait two months!
