So today I was hoping to discover that my xps m1530 had finally shipped. Instead I was greeted by yet another email declaring that my order had been delayed for the 4th time now because of the battery shortage. Is it normal for my order to be delayed this many times? I've seen people talking about 1 or 2 delays but 4..... However the Dell rep. who is emailing me about these delays is outstanding and has upgraded my shipping to next day along with 2 expedite shipping requests. Oh, and I ordered the 6 cell not the 9 cell battery. I hope that I can get this thing soon.![]()

It seems like to me that is very very excessive. I'll bet laptops are shipping, yours is just not one of them.
I'd give them a call, be polite, and ask them if they have an explaination because you are sure the whole line has not been down for 4 delay's worth of time. -
Personally, I would call them and ask for something in return for having to wait this long. That is completely unnecessary. I would not be able to wait that long.
I just ordered my Studio 15 two days ago and I am hoping it won't be delayed more than the initial delay. It has an est delivery date of 8/8-8/12 but people say they get theirs much earlier. -

last i checked dell, they had a 10-day delay for any 6-cell battery... -
I figured. So upon checking the delay list for the xps m1530 6 cell battery I was intrigued to find that according to the website there was NO delay. Something ain't right here

You really need to push for freebies. Don't take no for an answer. They are a MAJOR computer company. They should have no reason for 4 shipping delays, let alone a freebie. If you are young ask a parent to call, I sometimes miss not living at home for that reason -
I almost wouldn't mind a delay of a few days while I wait to see when dell announces their Centrino 2 lineup.

I also recommend trying to push them for freebies. Ask for supervisors or anyone that's "up the line", that usually helps. I've heard of people getting Hard drive and cpu upgrades if they get 2 delays, so you should be able to get a whole new laptop

that many delays.... (ive said this in other complaint forms)- get a supervisor... and tell them you will file a BBB complaint. (better business bureau)
