Now i was just thinking, might just be me but if you put something on sale that means you expect to sell a lot of them. So why put them on sale if they haven't got a enough parts for it. Seems silly to me and that means anyone in UK should be having the same problem. I also sent an email to her again said will it be here buy EDD and she said she do sent know :( lol

P.S. Now day 11 and still hasn't started production :(

Their systems aren't always up to date. It is very possible that its being shipped as we speak. But then again it might not be. I had to wait 3 weeks for my laptop. Sometimes under high demand laptops their suppliers cant supply enough parts. You will get it soon enough, just remain patient.

I'm in the same boat, however I'm moving to Ireland in two days and Dell had assured me of delivery before then when I ordered on the 15th. Heres the post from the main room, I may as well add it to the actual CS and delivery forums.

I am still waiting for my X1330 to come out of pre-production. Check the Dell website as they are always putting up new deals so you may be able to get more money off if there is now a better deal.

Ordered an M1330 (UK) on 22nd January and it is still in pre-production according to the website. When I phone them they tell me it's in production but they are obviously chatting rubbish since they've said that for 8 days now and it doesn't take 8 days to build a laptop. They just don't want to tell the truth which is, that they have severe delays because of such high demand for XPS laptops, if they said that a lot of people would be cancelling their orders.

The 1330 (Basic spec) I ordered on the 22nd is for my mum i'm actually waiting for them to put Penryn in it before I order one for myself.

HP and Sony already have Penryn in their laptops so I might be buying my laptop from elsewhere.

A week ago I ordered a M1730 and it stayed in production for about 5 days then when I looked again, day before yesterday it had been dispatched! I live in France but ordered through the UK. The UPS site says that it has already been cleared in Lille (France). Their delivery date is the 5 Feb (suppose the weekend is in the way of delivery...damn). But the original estimate for delivery was the 18th Feb. All in all I am quite happy with the service so far, haven't got it yet but the signs look good.

I bought mine through a sales rep and he advised me to pay by CC as that sped the whole process up, not sure by how much, but so far my order should get to me 13 days before the first estimate.

Reading other comments I tend to agree with Assissin, they should be a little more organised and have a stock on hand

This is now a complete joke, they have delayed my order for another 2 weeks ! I am so angery. Why the hell does it take 4 weeks to build a laptop and its not a part that is doing all this  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol

Assassin, I have had the exact same thing happen to me. The delivery date has been put back to the 20th of February.

I am now looking for another, similarly specc'd laptop as I am cancelling this one. They have been utterly useless from the word go, by not sticking to the 7-10 day delivery statement on their website. The have now delayed it further to the point where I will not be available to receive the laptop, both my wife and I work, and the children have school.

    :( :(

Apolling service Dell, and to all those thinking about buying an M1530 : Don't

Assassin, do you think it is the RAM, Processor or GPU, as they are the only things our order has in common.

When I phoned, they told me: "Due to the delay in receiving a component for your machine, your machine has been delayed further."

    So someone is telling porkies.
