    Asking about the 1720:
    ME: Will any other video cards be offered with the system in the near future?
    ATG Vanessa Yes, we are always changing our configurations offered for Dell systems, so in the future we will offer more video card options.
    ME: within the next month? or two?
    ATG Vanessa: We do not have the exact or an approximate time when it will change, but we change promotions and sometimes configurations every week, so you can verify every week the new configuration and promotions.
    ME: is the video card DDR2 or DDR3?
    ATG Vanessa: I was verifying, the card will be DD2
    ME: Will there be an option to add Vista Ultimate?
    ATG Vanessa: Probably we will have that soon as well.
    ME: what about the option of a 64bit OS?
    ATG Vanessa: Probably that as well. But I can not guarantee it.
    ME: Will any of the color option be taken off?
    ATG Vanessa: We have no further information regarding if the colors will be removed, it's all up to marketing.
    ME: is the xps 1730 going to be released today?
    ATG Vanessa: Not today, the new release date should be on or before Wednesday midnight.


    .... I wanted to order my 1720 today, but I guess I'll wait. :confused:

    Wednesday? That's when the promotion for the 1710 ends and price increases by 160USD. (uk)

    I don't really want to start a new thread, so I'll ask here. Is there anyone here considering a 1710 but now thinking about the 1730?

    Hmm, I'm not sure I can wait a month (or two - that's when dell UK said it will become available for GB folk), nor if I would benefit from the 8700 card (though dual it maybe). Dang options.
