The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I belong to 2 note book forums this one and notebook and for Dell alone they have about 4 times as many posts as Notebook Review has, just in case you want to lurk over at the other forum. http://notebookforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=72 and you can bookmark, lurk, and/or join and have 2 great notebook forums to answer or ask questions to. IMO there isn't enough action on notebook review as their is on the notebook forum, I want to help ask questions to a active forum as 4 of the 15+ posts here are mine. The rest are others posting more than one time, IMO that 'limits' the amount of the forum they are on. BTW my user name over on notebook there is the same as I use here Chazzy AKA Chaz AKA Charles[ :)]

hey chazzy, NotebookForums is a good site no doubt, they've been around longer than us though so they've definitely got a head start with # of posts. We don't compete with them and they have a slightly different type of crowd as we're a slightly different type of site. Anyway, there can never be too much information so the more sites with forums the better!

Well I took a look at the listed forum above and one thing I did notice was that Dell have a lot more positive reviews overthere than here. Quite Interesting indeed (I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing for future Dell customers...lol)

    Hi chazzy,
There's nothing wrong with belonging to two or more notebook forums. I belong to the thinkpads.com forum as well as this one, but only spend a small fraction of my time there as compared to here. I go over there to gain more information on thinkpads, nothing wrong with that, we're not married to this forum by any means; and the more places you look for and find information for yourself the better. For general notebook information I like it here best, the screen colors are easier on the eyes than the notebookforums site and here there is not just the forum; there are notebook headlines, articles, the tool with pull down menues to find notebooks depending on what specs you choose. Like abaxter said, they have been around much longer; but the number of total posts does not always make it more informative as posts that are outdated, many times have information that is no longer valid.

    Have a great weekend
