Hi,
i am looking notebook for my bussiness. Now i have 3 hot tips:
1. Inspiron 1525
2. XPS 1330
3. XPS 1530
I will use my notebook only for my presentation and programs like Photoshop Extended, Corel Draw, InDesign and other graphic programs. Most important for me is design and good functionality of this programs. I will work with 2 or 3 running aplications together. I have external monitor for making graphic, i just need to use notebook for work when i am not in office.
So my questions are:
1. Which configuration i need for working with graphic programs (cpu, ram, graphic, card)
2. By XPS models strong reflections (truelife technology). I need to show my work to client (templates, logos etc), so i am affraid of this.
3. Fingerprints - i want black color cover, but my friend has still problems with fingerprints on his xps 1330. Wich type or color is best for clean cover without fingerprints?
3. Wich design is best for manager? (marketing agecny)
Thank you!

I say go with your second choice..M1330XPS
Also look at my spec this or above will do you just fine. -
m1330 should be perfect for you. I would recommend either red or white for keeping your lid form looking like an FBI crime scene.

Have you looked at the Dell Latitudes? The reason I ask is because you could get the Latitude docking station that makes hooking it up to an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc a snap.

The XPS M1330 would be great for you.
I'd recommend an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0ghz), 2 GB of RAM and the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics card. Also consider the LED screen when showing it to your clients, as it produces a nice quality screen.
If you want the black, go for the black. Your clients really aren't going to care whether your laptop has fingerprints on it or not. But if you really want a different color, the blue looks nice too. -
Look at the dell latitudes. They are suited for businesses. Don't get an inspiron/xps. (I worked corporate IT for a few years now). Check out the Dell latitude D630.

Dell Latitude is good notebook, but it is too "fat" for me. Thanks for your tips, but can you answer on my question about reflection? (XPS) I mean, there can be big problem, when i show my work to client and display will be as looking-glass. Have inspiron 1525 in black (jet black) problems with fingepritns? What is better, jet black or street design for clean cover without fingerprints.

I don't it being a problem (reflection) right about now there is a reflection of me more so due to the sun as I'm sitting out on the lawn. On the whole I find my screen great while inside with bright lights on..
Black you could always clear spray the top yourselfor take it to a good car body shop for them to spray it for you..
Fingerprints ON THE M1330 coming in like a shot out of CSI -
Do you mean reflections on the screen when you look at it?
I've currently got an M1330. Previously used a Latitude D420 extensively and we have the full range of Latitudes and XPS's in our department; i've had experience of each.
If you're going to be using graphics programs extensively I would certainly go for 4GB ram.
Fingerprints are not an issue on the Latitudes. The XPS's do show finger prints, but not too badly - finger prints are more of smudges in the dust, and very feint. I wouldn't be afraid to do a presentation though with my M1330 to anyone. The fingerprints are pretty feint.
The reflection on the screen of the XPS's is very significant compared to the latitudes. With the latitudes I could work in nearly any light conditions and not notice reflections. The XPS's have more of a glossy screen - with the screen off you can almost do your hair by using the screen as a mirror.
What do you mean by the 'fatness' of latitudes? The latitudes are, on the whole, the most slimline of Dell's laptops. The D420/D430 I wouldn't ever describe as fat!
Hope this helps.
If I were you, I'd go for an M1330. -
I agree with everyone else here for everyday use and portability get the 1330
