Hi all,
After two not so good notebook experience with two different trademarks (problems with hard drive and hinges of display) at the moment I am looking a 3rd notebook.
What I am looking is:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo (1.8GHz or 2GHz)
Windows XP Profesional
Memory: 1.0GB, 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM
Hard drive: 100GB or 120GB (7200RPM)
8xDVD +/- RW Drive
Display: 15.4 WXGA or SXGA (1280x800)
Working as a journalist the notebook should have also a very good and durable keyboard. Also S-video connector is must as well as 3 year (international) warranty.
Which would be a good notebook for me?
I looked Dell Latitude D820 (but it not has S-video). Any experience about Dells Latitudes notebook are they good ones?
The maximum price should be 1300 euros (including international warranty. Any hope to find some good notebook?

I think Lenovo (IBM) T60 is your best option. Best keyboard in the industry and I believe it has an international warranty.

S4iscool, we are notebook guru's here, no-one knows more about notebooks then us here

oops just saw the budget part...ok Lenovo it is

The Latitude D830 (and D820 too I think) has S-video. I think the Lenovo T60/61 or the D830 are both really good options.
