I don't want the silver finish to fade away under the keypad where my hands sit. Is there a solution? I was thinking of using the clear adhesive stuff they use for book covers, it seems like that could be peeled off without damaging the surface, any thoughts?

i personally have a tom bihn ultrasuede keyboard cover that i use as a palmrest cover, it also works to clean the screen. www.tombihn.com You could try the book cover but i wouldn't want that plastic unevenly cut and curling at the corners on my palm rest. As long as you don't mind the look, it shouldn't cause any sticky residue problems, just make sure to get the good brand. There are also custom cut vinyl options you could check out in the cosmetic mods section.
