Hi, I have the Dell E1505 notebook and I am having a problem with Stand by and Hibernate. It seems to wake up on its own. It will happen overnight, coming home from work. I cannot figure out what is causing this. I have nothing pluged into it except for the power. It will happen on both Stand By and Hibernate.

    Help, please, anyone?

    Thanks

Well, I have heard of this happening with Dell's bloatware. Did you do a clean install of windows on the laptop?

Some programs will also wake up the computer, I know there is an anti-virus program that does this.

I hope this helps a little.

Check your bios (if Dell has the settings), you may have a "wake on" for LAN or modem that might be popping off, you can disable it.

are there any USB devices plugged in? I had to disable my wireless mouse because it wakes up my computer from standby. If this is the case, you go to the hardware properties you can make the USB device not bring the computer out of standby.
