15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife™
    or
    15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen WXGA+ Display with TrueLife™

Is the Top one just WXGA without the "W" ?

    XGA is 1024x768

    WXGA is 1280x800

    Higher resolution is the key.

Ultrasharp is for the higher resolution screen where as the Wide Screen XGA (WXGA) is only at a resolution of 1200X800

The link you gave only shows the 1280 x 800 and 1680 x 1050 options. I'd like to find out for sure too. I called Dell support and they told me they don't offer 1440 x 900 for the E1505. Maybe they just added it and the rep didn't know about it or maybe it's a typo on their site.

    Does anyone actually have a E1505 with a 1440 x 900 resolution screen?

Those are standard definitions, xga, xga+,sxga+,uxga, are industry standards, Dell just recently started using wxga+ for its 15.4" models, they can be slow at updating their more info messages.

for some reason the epp site doen't have the upgrade to wxga+ as an option on the e1505. i guess only personal and small business users need that resolution :)

    I've got a e1505 and the "default" resolution is 1440 X 900. It's about 6 weeks old...

Thanks, I confirmed it with someone else too. I wish Dell would be more informative about this on their website. I don't understand why they don't just list the resolution on their site to avoid any confusion instead of making us look up acronyms.
