Ordered a 1420 yesterday night with the stacking 200 EPP and 200 Student discounts. The order came to be $960 after tax. Well, a few hours after that, I saw the Dell one day deal for 1420 and I could get the exact laptop+Wireless N card+9 cell battery for $946 without any stacking. I decided that I am already taking advantage of Dell so I won't cancel and reorder.

And now!! Dell ****ing canceled my original 1420 order!!!

Moral of the story: **** Dell and don't even think about being loyal to them!!

Yeah, why would they cancel your order without you telling them to do so?

I don't know why they canceled it. I imagine because those two coupons were not supposed to stack but they did.

I didn't reorder because I didn't want to go through the trouble of canceling and reordering + I thought since Dell already gave me a good deal, I should not take more advantage of them.

Yeah, I should have. But I was furious. Plus I "bleeped" them at least. :)

Call them up with the original order number and say that it was wrongfully canceled.

Don't hate a company for such a small reason. Go to Lenovo and I wonder how long you'd keep your sanity.

thats unusual...i know beginning of july late august, the EPP+200 couponstacked and I know I, among many others, have orders confirmed...

maybe the price you got was too low? i didn't bother to check the new prices...can't wait any longer

200 EPP, you go to a website enter your e-mail and they mail it to you (you can find that website by going through this forum). 200 student, go to Dellunleashed.com.

I wouldn't be mad; I'd be happy. You can re-order with a better price now.

Oh... I guess that better one-day deal you mentioned is expired now? I didn't realize that when I read your original post.

It is a bit rude of them to cancel your order without giving you any reason. I'd call up and ask why it was canceled and if they could reinstate it.

Ask them to give another $100 coupons if that is stackable with the other coupons. :D many seems to have got it. And dun worry about ripping Dell, if u dun rip them, u ll be regret in the future coz of the service they ll give u. Like the missiles in the sky, fire and forget.

Seems to me that you could get one with a better video card for a similar price. I wouldn't be upset.

An official email from Dell went out on the July EPP coupon can be found lower on this page: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?catid=74&threadid=746730&start=200

If you call a good sales person, however, he will reinstate your orders (new confirmations will have no reference to any coupons used), and give you a $100 discount for your troubles, i.e., later shipping date.

If this (15% + $200 + 100) goes through for me it will be better than the $150 plus $350 stack by quite a bit. Good luck.

I've been away for a bit, so this may be of little help. Yes, my packages arrived today. 1-800-695-8133 is the number.
